WHBA is the voice of the residential construction industry in Winnebago County.

Our members are widely known as skilled craftspeople and knowledgeable professionals who are, at the same time, modern businessmen and women committed to quality and a solid code of ethics.

Complimentary evening dinner meetings are held the second Wednesday at Robbins Restaurant in Oshkosh nine times a year from September through May.

The networking events feature a cocktail hour, complimentary sit-down meal and one-hour program. The program includes a featured speaker or entertainer as well as a few Association business items.

The association also has several special events each year designed to bring members together, including the Golf Outing, Whitetails Banquet, Silent Auction and Holiday Party.

As a member of the Winnebago Home Builders Association (WHBA), you are automatically a member of the Wisconsin Builders Association (WBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). So, your membership brings benefits from not one, but three organizations.

The Association's motto is “Do Business with Member.” You'll often see and hear this phrase at membership functions. Membership in WHBA offers many opportunities for developing contacts and fostering long-lasting business relationships and friendships. WHBA encourages members not only to actively associate with their industry colleagues, but more importantly, support their fellow member businesses!

In addition to national and state publications, you’ll receive vital local industry and Association via the monthly WHBA Newsletter. The three associations provide you with access to the latest in research, products, technology, techniques, and other relevant information. 

WHBA also has a Construction Standards Book for sale and offers complimentary sample contract language to builder members.

Government rules and regulations have a profound impact on the home construction industry.

WHBA, WBA and NAHB members use their collective strength to ensure that the voice of the building industry is heard at all levels of government.

The strength of Association members means more than numbers on a balance sheet. Together local, state and national associations use the collective bargaining strength of over 225,000 members to provide a wealth of member discounts.

The Association annually produces the WHBA Membership Directory, a comprehensive list of WHBA member businesses. The directory includes a classified buyer’s guide, which lists member companies by specialty.

The WHBA web site also includes a Find a Member section, an online version of the Membership Directory that is updated on a monthly basis.

Through the Association's events and activities -- such as the WHBA Home and Garden Show and Parade of Homes event -- members have the opportunity to showcase their services and products to the public at a discounted rate.

Members also can showcase their companies to fellow members via the WHBA Monthly Newsletter and the WHBA Membership Directory.

WHBA members are dedicated to improving the communities where they live, work and play. The Association annually awards thousands of dollars in scholarships to local students pursuing careers in the home building industry.

The Association also contributed $50,000 in financial and labor resources to construct a new YMCA in Oshkosh and annually participates in the Toys for Tots program.
