Home Show Gives Back to Our Community

The 2008 WHBA Home Show took place February 8-10 at the Sunnyview Expo Center in Oshkosh. The event featured 92 vendors in 138 booths.

For the first time in Home Show history, admission was free with a suggested nonperishable food donation or financial donation to benefit The Salvation Army and Habitat for Humanity.

The promotion brought in thousands of canned goods for The Salvation Army and generated over $2,200 for Habitat for Humanity!

Patrons reacted favorably to the change in admission policy and most exhibitors commented that they were pleased with the quantity and quality of show attendees.

The event also benefited the 4-H Club, which ran the concession stand at the Expo Center.

Promotion Fuels Attendance Increase

The admission promotion was widely credited with boosting Home Show attendance to 3,076 this year compared to 2,432 last year. Exhibitors both reacted favorably to the change in admission policy, with 86% of exhibitor survey respondents indicating support for free admission.
